Hi, the download link on the website is misleading, it doesn't lead to any download location at KDE.
blogilo.gnufolks.org/download says:

Latest stable release:
Blogilo 1.0.1:
From KDE download center

http://www.kde.org/download/ is about how to download KDE and software compilation, and doesn't mention Blogilo. It can be confusing to people looking for a Blogilo 1.0.1 binary. Thanks.

When using the HTML editor I cut and pasted the code for embedding an infographic, then saved the draft locally for later use. On restarting Blogilo, the program opens up in the Visual Editor by default. On going to the HTML Editor, the embed codes had been stripped by the auto-format. Is there a way around this? Thanks.

The embed code was:

by Column Five Media via

Thanks for this. I closed the sidebar to get more space on the editing window and could make it reappear even on restart. Clicking on the Setting/Toolbox menu made a small "Toolbox" button appear, but clicking on this button made no difference. I had to change the blogilorc setting to make it work.

Hi all,

I'm relatively new to cmake, and am trying to use an existing cmake process to compile my company's code on solaris. The last person to do a solaris build in this company left a couple of years ago, and so I don't really have the knowledge of this process at my fingertips.

I have two problems:

1) When the cmake process gets to the place where it's trying to create a shared library from libraries that already exist, I get the following output:

ADD_LIBRARY for library <libname> is used with the SHARED option, but the target platform supports only STATIC libraries. Building it STATIC instead. This may lead to problems.

It is impossible that the target platform solaris cannot be supporting shared libraries. So it seems only reasonable to say that some definition is not properly set to instruct the cmake system that for the solaris platform I want shared libraries.

Has anyone run into this problem? I see a lot of talk online about this, but none of what I am seeing seems to be useful. Unfortunately, I cannot share the build process online, and I don't know enough about cmake to create an example process that does the same.

2) The decision was made to go ahead with the build, even though it was going to be creating statis libraries, and then we would go back and fix that later. So I ran gmake and get to a subproject where the __solaris__ define that I had given didn't propagate.

I have added the command "add_definitions(-D__solaris__)" to the .cmake files picked up by the main project and each of the subprojects. But when I put a "#ifdef __solaris__" followed by a #else, and put a #error in each of these blocks to give a message and abort, I always get the message saying that it didn't find __solaris__ as defined.

Having put the add_definitions call in all projects throughout the solution, I am not sure what is going on here. Does anyone have a suggestion.

Thanks...

At this worst time you are required to use Inbox repair tool to fix this PST corruption. But in case you fails to find this tool in your system, then you can also use Outlook 2007 Repair Tool to fix the error and to recover your Data.

Hi,

Am using blogilo 1.1 on Kubuntu 11.10 (KDE 4.7.2) and I see this error whenever I try to post a blog that contains tag in the html.

The bug can be reproduced by trying to post a blog with the following content to blogger ( blogspot.com api)
Type the content within the quotes in the html tab of blogilo "

hi

"

I had compile the debug version of the blogilo using the instructions given here and here. the error out put is here.

The bug is only relted to blogspot.com posts. specifically the way the XML is parsed in the KBlog::GDataPrivate module. Looks like this was a known issue in the libgdata. see here . I tried updating the libgdata to the latest 0.10.1 , but that didnt have any effect. It appears that KDEpim has its own implementation of the gdata api or may be a wrapper as you can find here . And I believe it has to be fixed within kdepim.

Hey, don't know if this is still causing your problems but you have to go into your wordpress admin pannel then navigate to Settings->Writing and check the box next to "Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols." Hope that helps.

I keep trying Blogilo every few months and have continuously had the same issue. I kept getting told that it was time zone settings. Wordpress is properly configured to my time zone. My system is also properly configured and the date is correct... as was before. Older Bilbo worked flawlessly with identical settings. I used to have Bilbo and Blogilo both installed and ran them side by side. Bilbo published while Blogilo only scheduled.
No change as of tonight, 10/10/2011 except that I don't have Bilbo anymore. Oh well, Scribefire works perfectly, as does Kblogger and all other clients I have tried... except Blogilo. The author keeps insisting it is our time zone configuration and, from reading his replies in the forum, seems to have no interest in helping to solve this issue. I'm un-installing Blogilo for the last time. I give up.

welcome,

Blogilo is missing many of normal features, if you blogger and using Windows Live Writer you will know that with blogilo you can't upload images directly to blogger [picasa web-albums] such as WLW and there was no way to manage categories or pages of blogger blogs.
I wish blogilo got update to be more practical and useful

I click the "Auto-Configure" button, it tells me "Fetching BlogID Faild!, please check your internet connection". If I click the details button, it says "Received invalid XML markup: error occurred while parsing element at 1:1". If it didn't get that far, then maybe it doesn't like the way SF's wordpress works (which is tied in to the rest of SF web app authentication).

I had the same problem recently. I found that if i move the mouse over the "signout" link across the top, at the bottom of my browser it shows the BlogID. i wrote that number down, went into my Blogilo settings, and put that number in the BlogID field, and now it all works. Still not sure just why Bloilo couldnt find it, but I am now posting again from my offline editor to http://w7dtg.blogspot.com. Hope this helps a few. Theron
