I use some custom WordPress installation on my remote host. The WP distro is from LeCactus (optimized for russian community). On both WinXP and Linux Bilbo gives me the same errors. As i tried to google for the error i encountered i found the info, that it all might be related to php.ini' flag for not using short '<?' tags instead of full '<?php' ones. To try and make sure my WP distro is close to vanilla one i've tried disabling all the plugins, set the default theme and enabled the remote posting, but all in vain. I want to use both that hosting and Blogilo. Any clues? (But its a bit strange because there are some outputs always :? ) You should build it from source in debug mode, to have output, then we can find the problem!
