   Hello,

   I'm having some trouble with the timestamps when I publish posts. Somehow, Bilbo alters the time of the posts and it adds 2 hours to it. So the posts are scheduled instead of published. I suspect that the problem might be related to the timezone.

   The blog is a movable type 4.5 instalation.
   Timezone in the blog preferences is set to UTC -4.
   The computer that I'm using is set to the same timezone.
   Bilbo version is 0.9.95 (1.0Beta1)
   KDE is 4.2.4
   Linux distro is Archlinux.

   I have ruled out that the problem is not related either to the Blog or the computer that I'm using, because I'm able to post correctly using another blog client called Blogtk.

   Let me know if there is any way in which I can provide you with more information regarding this.

   Yes, It's a known problem.

   But didn't found what's wrong with some systems that converting time spec doesn't work on them, yet. :-/

   Have you checked if the problem is related to the system's hardware clock setting?

   Linux systems are usually set to UTC, but if they dual boot alongside Windows, they are set to localtime.

   My system is set to localtime.

   Maybe this is the reason,

   BTW, for UTC->LOCAL and LOCAL->UTC conversions, we use KDE library methods.

   I have changed the system settings to UTC, and the problem persists.

   I even did two tests: posting with the timezone set to UTC -3 and to UTC +2. The first post timestamp is set 2 hours in the future, the second post is set 7 hours in the future. So, it seems that the program consistently adds 2 hours to the timestamp when it interacts with Movable Type.

   Hope this information helps to solve the bug. Let me know if there is any other test that I can do.

   Sorry for late answer

   I made a trick, it may help us.

   Patch this: http://paste.ubuntu.com/253021/ on your src and let me know about result.

   How To patch:
   save text as a text file such as "patch.diff" in bilbo src root dir
   goto bilbo src root dir, and do: "patch -p1<patch.diff"
   recompile bilbo and try again.

   About the patch:
   It just check if post creation date sets to less than 60sec ago, assume as now, and don't send the datetime, hope server set the time to his current :D
   It works with Wordpress as well.

   To help testing this:
   Get bilbo src code from here: http://gitorious.org/bilbo/mainline/archive-tarball/master
   Build and Install it, then try posting (don't change timestamp) and check if timestamp is ok!?
