Hi there. I am running Bilbo 1.0 on KDE 4.3.2. (via Linux Mint). When I go to post to my blog, I get the following error: "Submitting post failed. An error occurred on latest transaction. Unknown error, Could not regexp the blog ID path".

I am able to log into my account and see all posted entries, etc. within Bilbo / Blogilo.

One other, possibly related issue: When I go to download my tags, the progress bar goes indefinately and never completes fetching the tags. All indications are that my account info is right (since I can log in and see my posts). Ideas?

Can you run it from terminal and paste the output here (if any)?

Also you can compile blogilo from source in debug mode as i described here:

This way you get full debug messages in terminal, that can be more helpfull for us to investigate the problem. :)

Here is my output from Blogilo. I have the same issue, although I am using Blogilo 1.1 and on Gentoo w/ KDE 4.6.4

It's the last statement that seems to be the issue, as if there is some problems with quotes or having html tags not ending properly. I will see about compiling using debug mode.

Full Error Msg when I click submit:
An error occurred in the last transaction.
Server (Atom) error: Could not regexp the id out of the result.

I went into the HTML Editor portion and changed all
tags to
and I get this error message:
blogilo(7284): Could not regexp the id out of the result: "The entity "nbsp" was referenced, but not declared."

I had the same problem recently. I found that if i move the mouse over the "signout" link across the top, at the bottom of my browser it shows the BlogID. i wrote that number down, went into my Blogilo settings, and put that number in the BlogID field, and now it all works. Still not sure just why Bloilo couldnt find it, but I am now posting again from my offline editor to http://w7dtg.blogspot.com. Hope this helps a few. Theron

I tried foureyes779 suggestion. But that didn't work for me. same error. Will try updating to 4.7.3 and see if anything improves.

Hi,

Am using blogilo 1.1 on Kubuntu 11.10 (KDE 4.7.2) and I see this error whenever I try to post a blog that contains tag in the html.

The bug can be reproduced by trying to post a blog with the following content to blogger ( blogspot.com api)
Type the content within the quotes in the html tab of blogilo " <div>hi</div><div> </div>"

I had compile the debug version of the blogilo using the instructions given here and here. the error out put is here.

The bug is only relted to blogspot.com posts. specifically the way the XML is parsed in the KBlog::GDataPrivate module. Looks like this was a known issue in the libgdata. see here . I tried updating the libgdata to the latest 0.10.1 , but that didnt have any effect. It appears that KDEpim has its own implementation of the gdata api or may be a wrapper as you can find here . And I believe it has to be fixed within kdepim.

I went ahead and raised a bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=288533

And ya I noticed little later that my pwd is captured in the logs. so had changed it after that.
